• Airport Terminals – first carpet installation in Auckland Domestic Terminals.
• Hospitals – involved in anti-static flooring for operating theatres in many hospitals, Timaru, Wellington, Napier, New Plymouth & Greymouth.
• Involved in the pioneering of direct adhesive fixing of carpet in New Zealand in the late 1960’s.
• Notable projects – N.Z. Towel Supply, Auckland Airport International Terminal, Southern Cross Hospital Gillies Ave, Mangere Sewerage Redevelopment, Lion Breweries Head Office East Tamaki, Air New Zealand Computer Centre Newton, numerous schools including gymnasiums
• Farmers Trading Co. Store fitouts throughout New Zealand.

Career Highlights:

• Negotiating and managing the installation of Axminster Carpets and Marley Tiles to the Wellington Postal Centre, New Zealand’s largest building 1969.
• Negotiated and managed the floorcoverings to N.Z. Pavilion Seville Expo, Spain 1992.

Simon has 15 years’ industry experience and manages a wide range of projects including retail fitout, aged care and IHC facilities.

Don has 29 years’ experience in the flooring industry mainly in carpet from the lower end of the market to top grade woven products. Don is also experienced in flooring ranging from tiles to sheet vinyl and linoleum.

Don has experience in commercial, retail and aged care installations and, as a former installer, has hands-on technical skills which enable him to supervise quality installations.

Jennifer has been with Basically Floors Ltd for 11 years and is responsible for all financial, insurance, taxation and accounting functions within the Company.

We can then follow up with costings based on plans or on-site measures, assist with material selections and compliance issues, right through to the on-time handover of your quality flooring installation.
